Just because your eyesight isn’t what it used to be, that doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t stop living your normal life. What it does mean, however, is that you might need some help.
That’s where low-vision aids can play a big role in making life simpler. For example, they can help you read the newspaper, the settings on your oven, or even your air conditioning/heating thermostat.
So, how can you find out what low-vision aids are available?
The next time you have an appointment with Dr. Lyon and Dr. Brogden, be sure and ask if you qualify for low-vision home health. If so, we will contact a home health service, which will send a Register Nurse or Occupational Therapist to your home. He/She will show you a variety of ways in which low-vision aids can be of help. And here’s even more good news—most home health services are approved by Medicare.
If you don’t want to wait until your next appointment to learn about home health low-vision, below are some of the home health companies we use, and links to their contact information.
