Amsler Grid |
||||||||||||||||||||
| An Amsler grid can help you detect changes in your vision. Those changes could be a sign of a variety of macular diseases such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema. This grid can also help you monitor changes in your vision once they have been found. After printing the Amsler grid, hold it 14 inches from your eyes. Wear your glasses if needed for reading. Cover one eye, look at the center dot with the uncovered eye, note any visual distortion, then repeat the procedure using your other eye. If the lines look irregular (wavy, blurred, empty or discolored), promptly contact your ophthalmologist. | ||||||||||||||||||||
